There are endless examples of gorgeous radiating shapes and lines throughout the natural world; the dynamic ripples in a pool of water, the concentric rings in a seashell, the ridged veins within a striated stone. These patterns can be so intricate and stunning that it is incredible to think that they are naturally occurring. This was the inspiration for these pieces. As they evolved the patterns became more geometric and less organic, while retaining the radiating linework. Seen through a modern color palette these pieces take on the precision and graphic look of a Midcentury Modern print. Each piece was designed and then sent to a CNC router, which created the channeled grooves into the piece of MDF. Each channel was then hand painted to achieve the final look.
